Putting up the tree

Tom just wanted to express how thrilled he was to put up our Christmas tree today. NOT...
  • But, we did get it done. Thanks to our family, we have a beautiful tree. They cut it down in the Uintah's. Legally....Anyway. Laure is doing well. She enjoyed the new snow at Snowbird. It was very cold, but she's a powder hound. Finn had a jr. jazz basketball game yesterday. He was proud that his team won. He was more excited about playing in the snow. Andrew is taller. Thomas is crawling around like a pro. He still loves playing in the cave with his dad. Tom shoveled the snow today with our only leaf rake. He broke it. ha ha. He gave in and bought a snow shovel. Now we are set for the winter. Finals are over for me. Yeaaaa!!! Now I can try to get the house clean before Christmas.

Try again

November has come and gone

Again, I am horrible at this. Let's see. Maybe I will try to start with some pictures. Last week I went to Allison's house to hang out. Aiden was so sweet and loves to play with Thomas. For the past week, the bean and I have been so sick. Dr. Kelly thinks Thomas has Roseola. Viral, of course, so our antibiotics aren't working. He broke out in a rash this morning, so hopefully he will be feeling soon. Thanksgiving was uneventful. Tom made us yummy stakes because we were too sick to hang out with everyone. Andrew and Finn went to the Grand America with the Kelly's and Lauren spent the weekend in La.

Too much to do

It's Tuesday. Wow, time seems to fly. Lauren has been busy with dance and school. She is Senior photo editor this year, along with all of her other activities, we don't get to see her that much. She is looking at Colleges, some on the West Coast, and some back East. Hopefully, she will follow in Tom's footsteps and choose UVA. How funny. Andrew must have grown an inch in the last month. He is probably 5'10". Tall, and skinny. He is a great student and has the most unique sense of humor. If all 13 year old boys could be this good..... Super Finn is SUPER! He is as smart as they come. He came over on Sunday, dressed in the "Seven" jeans that grandma Mary bought him, had a cute blue striped polo, and looked so grown up. He loves his little brother. And the bean loves Finn and Andrew. He lights up when they are around. Right now he is taking a nap.
Tom is working. Which he does very well. His favorite time of year has come. Judge basketball officially started yesterday. Goodbye Tom. He loves it....
I'm going to go see the Body Worlds exhibit today with my Pathophysiology Prof. and some other students. I'm very excited to see it. After bombing my patho test last night, I need the 10 extra points we are getting. I'm still procrastinating. A lot..... I continually think of Grandma, and the times we spent with her. It's like she has never left. She has always been a part of me, and she still is today. I hope Grandpa mack is having a good day. Tom and I took T-Rex, the pug, over to visit him on Sunday. He seems to be getting better from his latest bout with what ever respiratory infection he picked up.
My goal this month is to live as Richard (Christina's step-dad) did. He was so kind and loving and giving. He never said anything negative and lived his life for the love of his family and friends. Thanks Richard.....you are a great example of how we all should be.
much love,
EM

November 2008

We have been so busy for the last year. There is so much to say. To start, we had the greatest time at the Utah-TCU game last night. Tom, Lauren, and I went. Grandma Elaine stayed home with the Bean. It was an excellent game. We all ran down to the field when it was over.
Tom is still busy trying to keep Sentrx going. In addition, he is helping out at the Swanson Family Foundation, which is in Farr West. So close to the house, which is still on the Market. Every day we say we are going to move back. Maybe we will. For now we are renting a house on 1409 Bryan Ave. It has been nice to be back in the "hood". It is a great old house. We love it, except for the cat issues. Ask Tom for more info if interested.
The Bean is growing every day. He is still doing the army crawl, eating lots of food, still nursing, loves to dance, take a bath, play with dad and watch football, hang with the dogs, pretty much anything. He is a very happy baby. We all love him.
Lauren is busy with school, social life, college plans. She is in Dance company at West and still with CDT. She is senior photo editor for the yearbook and very busy with homework and volunteer work. She had a great trip to Africa this summer.
Andrew is now named "Stretch". He grows daily. He has been playing on the Impact U14 comp team. He has become so talented as a soccer player and is an exceptional young man. He has grandpa's dry sense of humor. He is a great big brother, and manages to Tolerate his little brother, Finn. He is involved in his ward/scouting and has finished his eagle scout project. He collected supplies for Lauren's service group to take to Africa. We are so proud of him.
Finn get smarter each day. He loves to read and loves his computer games. He is a great big brother to Bubba, and told me that he is the teacher's pet this year. He is so smart. He swam on the Hurricane's swim team this summer. It was such a great experience for him. He worked very hard and learned a lot. Finn is a great swimmer. Also, he played baseball and soccer. He loves to ride his bike.
I am still taking classes at Weber. Someday I will finish. I'm so happy to have such a great family. We recently loss our sweet grandma, Minnie. It was very hard to loose her, but she lived to be 95. She was such a big part of all of our lives. We love you grandma.
There is so much to catch up on, and I will do my best to do so.

bubba gump

I can't believe it's been almost 4 months. He is growing like crazy. He loves to watch basketball with Tom. Lots of smiles, laughs, gas, and fun.
